Audacious is a lightweight, open-source audio player that can be easily installed and used on a Raspberry Pi. Designed to be simple and efficient, Audacious supports a wide variety of audio formats while offering a clean and easy-to-navigate interface. Thanks to its low resource consumption, it is ideal for the Raspberry Pi, which may not have the power of a typical PC but offers enough performance to listen to music or podcasts.

To install Audacious on the Raspberry Pi, we will use an application manager called Pi-app, which allows you to install all kinds of software on your device. You can download it using the following link:

Once the link is downloaded, you can click on the icon that appears on your desktop. You will need to confirm that you want to run the file:

Once the manager is installed, you will need to look for Audacious under All Apps:

Once found, all that’s left is to install the software:

Once installed, you can find Audacious in your menu.

In Audacious, you can open a new audio file and listen to it.
