Desmume is a Nintendo DS emulator that will allow you to play games from the console on your Raspberry Pi.

With this emulator, you can turn your Raspberry Pi into a true retro console.

sudo apt-get install desmume

Below is what the installation process looks like after entering the command in the terminal:

Once installed, you can find Desmume in the menu bar of your Raspberry Pi.

When launched, you will see the emulator’s interface:

To start a game, click on File then Open, and choose the game file in .nds format.

If you want to add your game controller, go to Config, then Edit Controls and Edit Joystick Controls.

To use the emulator, you will need to install games in .NDS format.
This is only legal if you own the original version of the game on the Nintendo DS.
Arduino Factory does not in any way encourage the illegal downloading of video games.

Once your ROM is selected, the game will start automatically.

All that’s left is to play!
